Services

                                       LIFE RECOVERY

Our ministry embraces the Life Recovery model as a Christ-centered path to healing and transformation for individuals overcoming addiction, trauma, and life-controlling struggles. At the heart of this journey is the Life Recovery Bible, a powerful tool that blends the timeless truth of God’s Word with practical 12-step recovery principles.

We use the Life Recovery Bible to guide individuals through the process of spiritual growth, emotional healing, and restoration of purpose. Each session, study, or group gathering centers around Scripture, reflection, and real-life application, helping participants confront the root causes of their pain while discovering hope in Jesus Christ.

This approach not only supports personal freedom but also builds a strong community of accountability, faith, and support. Whether someone is new to recovery or seeking a fresh start after incarceration or hardship, Life Recovery offers a foundation for lasting change through God's Word and grace.

                                    SECOND CHANCES

We are honored to serve in partnership with Freedom Place Church, our home church located in Rowlett, Texas, as part of a growing network of ministries and organizations committed to restoring lives through hope, faith, and second chances.

Through our initiative, Second Chance, and the testimony and outreach of Angela Tree, we have joined hands with Prison Fellowship as official Justice Ambassadors, advocating for the restoration and dignity of justice-impacted individuals and families. We actively engage our community and church family to speak up for those affected by incarceration and to build bridges of hope and healing.

Additionally, we are partnered with CarePortal, a powerful platform connecting churches with real-time needs of vulnerable children and families in the community. This partnership empowers us to be the hands and feet of Jesus—meeting practical needs, preventing family breakdown, and supporting successful reentry for formerly incarcerated individuals.

Together, Freedom Place Church, Second Chance, Angela Tree, Prison Fellowship, and CarePortal are building a network of restoration, second chances, and God’s redemptive love in action—bringing purpose to the broken and hope to the hurting.

Frequently Asked Questions

WHY FREEDOM FROM CHAINS

Freedom From Chains Ministry is made up of real people who have experienced the struggles of prison and addiction. We understand firsthand what it means to need a second chance. Through God's grace, we've had the opportunity to turn our lives around, and now we’re here to help others do the same. We believe that God gives second chances and that no matter where you've been, you can experience healing, restoration, and a fresh start in Christ.

LIFE RECOVERY HOW IS IT DIFFERENT

Life Recovery differs from AA and NA by focusing specifically on Christ-centered recovery. While AA and NA are spiritual programs, Life Recovery integrates biblical teachings with the 12-step model, encouraging individuals to find healing through a relationship with Jesus Christ. It takes a holistic approach, addressing spiritual, emotional, and relational healing, not just sobriety. Life Recovery also emphasizes personal transformation through Christ and community support with a Christian foundation, offering a deeper focus on purpose and serving others in recovery.

WHY IS SECOND CHANCES SO IMPORTANT

Second chances are important because they offer hope, redemption, and the chance for growth. They allow people to learn from mistakes, heal from the past, and start fresh. Second chances break the cycle of despair, restore relationships, and give individuals the opportunity to find purpose and live a transformed life.

“Since joining Freedom From Chains, my life has been transformed. I am forever grateful for their support and guidance on my path to recovery.”
